Sarah Mammone – Behaviour Support Practitioner

Sarah is a Behaviour Support Practitioner with a strong background in education, special education, mental health and behavioural support. She holds a Bachelor of Education and has developed extensive experience supporting children, young people and adults with diverse behavioural, developmental and support needs.
Sarah’s experience spans both education and frontline disability support. She has worked directly in support worker roles, giving her a practical understanding of what behaviour support looks like in everyday environments, as well as teaching across a range of specialist education and behavioural school settings.
Her areas of knowledge include special education, complex behaviour, trauma-informed practice, mental health, emotional regulation and supporting people who may experience challenges engaging within traditional education or community settings.
Sarah brings an approachable, practical and person-centred style to behaviour support. She values understanding the individual behind the behaviour and works collaboratively with participants, families, support workers, educators and other professionals to develop strategies that are realistic, respectful and able to be implemented in day-to-day life.
Her combination of teaching, specialist education and frontline support experience allows her to bridge the gap between clinical recommendations and what actually works in real-world environments.
