Lauren is a Behaviour Support Practitioner who began her career in the support sector in 2011 after returning from New York, where she worked as an Au Pair supporting a young boy with additional needs. This early experience sparked a lasting interest in the disability sector and shaped the direction of her professional journey.

Over the years, Lauren has supported people with a wide range of needs across several roles within the NDIS, including roles as a support worker and operating her own Support Coordination business. These experiences have provided her with a strong and practical understanding of the NDIS environment, service systems, and the importance of coordinated, collaborative care.

Lauren’s approach to behaviour support is grounded in person-centred practice, collaboration, and practical problem solving. She works closely with participants, families, support workers, therapists and services to develop strategies that can be implemented in everyday environments. She places a strong emphasis on bringing together the key people in a participant’s life to ensure supports are aligned and working toward shared goals.

Lauren is particularly passionate about supporting individuals to live meaningful and independent lives. Her work focuses on understanding what matters most to each person and developing strategies that build skills, confidence and supportive environments that promote long-term wellbeing. Lauren is known for her ability to build rapport quickly and authentically. She values taking the time to understand each person’s strengths, challenges and preferences, and uses this understanding to guide respectful, practical and empowering supports. Lauren is proud to be part of the team at Alpha Psychological Solutions, where she works collaboratively with individuals, families and support teams to achieve meaningful and lasting outcomes.

Outside of her professional work, Lauren enjoys weightlifting, gardening, pilates and dancing, bringing the same energy and enthusiasm from these pursuits into her work.
